Everybody But the American People Knew About Osama

Timothy Birdnow

What we had here was a failure to communicate...

I remember 911 when Bush was reading to those children; he looked stunned, he looked grave, but he didn't look surprised. I suspected we had some intel that this MIGHT happen. No details but just that it could happen. And the way the laws were set up we didn't have any real way to address a potential threat.

We knew Bush was briefed on an unspecified threat by Bin Laden, but it turns out Clinton had been likewise briefed and the CIA knew all along that Bin Laden was going to do something quite terrible.

Of course the twin towers were a prime target; Islamic terrorists had attacked it back during the Clinton era and we just barely foiled the plot then (using a truck bomb).

At any rate this was a failure of the intelligence community and so much of it stemmed from a wall of separation between agencies.

Ancient Chinese Secret: Border Computer Switcharoo

Timothy Birdnow

Somebody please explain to me how a Chinese national winds up working as a border officer at the U.S./Canadian border?

If this guy was taking out computer parts and replacing them it wasn't for no reason. He's a spy and should be charged with espionage.

But why was he there in the first place? It's insane we have foreigners working for the border patrol. That is like making an atheist Pope.

From the Gateway Pundit article:

"Terry "Jiajia” Liu, 39, of Calais, Maine, described himself as a native of Guangzhou, China. He worked as a CBP supervisor at the Calais Port of Entry, with duties stretching to the Ferry Point and Milltown crossings.

CBP officers are required to be U.S. citizens. According to The Maine Wire, Liu has posted images suggesting he voted in 2020. That does not answer the question every American should be asking: how did a man from Guangzhou end up with after-hours access to Homeland Security computers on the northern border?"

Seems this fellow voted, too.

So why was this guy stealing these parts and replacing them with cheaper ones? He claimed:

"Liu admitted to the FBI on September 9 that he used CBP parts in Newegg’s trade-in program for store credit. First he said he was trying to make the computers "more efficient.”'

Naturally he'll say that; he will get far less jail time if it was a crime of profit and not espionage. But I believe that about as much as I believe in the Tooth Fairy.

This is just the guy who got caught; how many others are out there and working on behalf of the People's Republic of China? This is what open borders and a policy that hires and promotes foreigners over Americans gets you.

The Romans did this same thing, hiring Germans to guard their borders from other Germans. We know how well that worked out. Rome died as a result.

Fools run this country, or did at any rate.

You Can Cut Off Her Breasts but By God you had Better not Take Her to Church

Timothy Birdnow

But just one parent can approve the dousing of kids with sex hormones to change them into the opposite sex and there isn't anything the other parent can do about it.

This is in Maine.

So one father, not mother, may set the rules about how this kid is to be raised in terms of religious beliefs. But if she wants to cut off her breasts, or her teachers want that, in Maine it will happen and the mother will have no say, nor the father if he is the one who disagrees.

Cumberland County Judge Jennifer Nofsinger, who issued the ruling in 2024, is a lesbian who issued the order giving full control of the 13 year old girl's religious activity.

The Maine supreme court ruled in favor of the lower court, calling this ruling "in the child's best interest" and completely ignoring the First Amendment and multiple court rulings, including several from the U.S. Supreme Court.

Here is the salient point on this; the parents were never married. Emily Bickford and Matthew Bradeen had the baby out of wedlock and agreed to parent the child jointly. Under any normal circumstance the mother would be given preference ove the father but Miss Bickford was decent and gave him joint custody. For that she paid this price.

In a case like this the mother almost always gets first say.

The man apparently was one of THOSE kind; he and the mother fought over not just the child's baptism but her vaccinations; the mother did not want the child receiving the Covid vaccine, nor the vax for HPB. The father insisted on those.

But what really cheesed him off - and got the court's goat too -- was that she took the daughter to the church and then provided "no additional details". What does that even mean? He doesn't have fingers and access to a computer? He could have looked at their website. He could have visited the place. But somehow she was in the wrong for not giving a lot of details about the church?

And then she put him on speaker in front of the daughter, who wanted to get baptized, so that the kid could invite her dad to the ceremony. Oh, the horror! What evil is this woman trying to conjure up?

So now the courts have awarded full authority to the father over the kid's religious development, and cut the mother out SOLELY BECAUSE SHE IS A CHISTIAN. That is absolutely unacceptable and I hope the Supreme Court of the United States will hear this case. It's disgraceful this is happening in America.

If the little girl had wanted to transition to a boy and the mother had done it without input from the old man no doubt the courts would have ruled in her favor. But because she wants to save he child's soul she's now unfit.

Fair is foul and foul is fair. The Left has turned the values of this country inside-out.

Being a Christian used to be a good thing. Now it's considered unholy and evil. The Luciferians are now running America.

Fake Consensus and Turncoats

Timothy Birdnow

I wrote this as a rebuttal to a Gang Greener in the wee hours of the morning and can't find his comment to which I responded. Oh well; it may be of some benefit to you anyway:

"The flip side of a manufactured consensus is "denial.” Questioning the faux consensus and in particular the flip of Dr. Muller is reasonable because the organization for which he works Berkeley Earth is an NGO whose funding increases by releasing climate alarmist data sets. It clearly has a vested interest and it's data is suspect as a result. Berkeley Earth received rather large funding fom the Department of Energy (even though they claim they don't take government money) and from certain private donations. Who do you suppose they actually ARE working for?

Much of their funding comes from he Leftist and activist Patrick J. McGovern Foundation.
https://philanthropywomen.org/philanthropy-women-funder-database/patrick-j-mcgovern-foundation/

The World Economic Forum loves them some P.J. McGovern, which is telling. And in fact they themselves promote all sorts of social activist ideas, and they make no bones about wanting to "change the world".

Muller changed his tune because he does not want to retire without the honor given to a man of his "stature". Judith Curry explains how this happens. https://judithcurry.com/2023/11/17/a-bad-recipe-for-science/

"century. Virtually all academic climate scientists are within the so-called 97 percent consensus regarding the existence of a human impact on warming of the Earth’s climate. Which scientists are ostracized and labeled as deniers? Independent thinkers, who are not supportive of the IPCC consensus, are suspect. Any criticism of the IPCC can lead to ostracism. Failure to advocate for CO2 mitigation policies leads to suspicion. Even a preference for nuclear power over wind and solar power will get you called a denier. The most reliable way to get labeled as a denier is to associate in any way with so-called enemies of the climate consensus and their preferred policies—petroleum companies, conservative think tanks, or even the "wrong” political party."

end quote

Muller is nearing retirement age and doesn't want to be erased after a long and distinguished career. He was going to be canceled, now he will be feted, just as you have done here.

That is how your side rolls; fake data, corrupt payouts to make it appear we have an emergency, and bullying tactics to keep scientists in line.

Mad Medicinemen

Timothy Birdnow

I know THAT'S right; I have medications whose sole purpose is to remind me to take other medications...

Doctors do things by the numbers; whatever your vial signs are, they try to get them in-line with the recommended "norm". I am always paranoid before a doctor visit; the guy might want a new med for me. I've gone so far as to lie to them about, say, blood sugar because I don't want them adding another medication to my list.

Case in point; my endocrinologist wants my blood sugar below seven and I may have trouble doing that sometimes. So she asks about my sugar and I tell her it's been fine because if she gets a hint it's been running a little higher she's going to add a medication. And then I usually get some terrible side effect - often constipation - and eventually I'll stop taking it. Then she'll want to try some other drug. The best thing a lot of times is just to leave me alone; there is usually a reason why my blood sugar is running high for that month (like it's my birthday or whatnot). But drugs are what doctors are about and so they add drugs and never get rid of them unless they know they are a problem. d

And there are too many cooks in the kitchen. I have a doctor for everything. To quote Comicus in History of the World "we got a (god) for everything. About the only thing we don't have one for is premature ejaculation, but I hear that's coming soon!" It's' like that with doctors. I swear, if I so much as cut wind they whisk me off to some specialist who then prescribes new medication. I'm too young to be this old and I think I got there by taking all these drugs in the first place; I'd probably be hale and hearty if I didn't take all this stuff. But I fear not taking it as I was inches from the Reaper 15 years ago and it no doubt saved my life. But it's just crazy how it all works.

That's not to say I lie to them often, or that I think they aren't doing me any good. I do. But sometimes it's just "for the love of all things holy stop already".

Anyway it's nice to have some science to back up what I've long thought. We've gone medicine mad.

America Forgot

Timothy Birdnow

On this the 25th anniversary of 911 I would say "Never Forget!"

Sadly we pretty much have already. We are bringing in Muslims by the boat load and there are places in America under Sharia law - in Minnesota, in Texas, in Michigan. We forgot.

We've forgotten about Communism as well and now a lot of places are facing the unpleasant prospect of communists taking over the Democratic Party and joining forces with the Islamists to destroy America. What they couldn't do with bombs they are doing in the minds of the young and gullible.

I fear only God can save America now.

Bribery or Refunds?

Timothy Birdnow

Democrats are furious at President Trump for offering a return of people's ow money just prior to an election. At the GOP Midterm Convention Mr. Trump said he would refund $5,ooo dollars to the American People.

The acrimony was swift and terrible from lthe mainstream media, with accusations of bribery and saying Trump cannot do this. But since when has the media ever cared about politicians, particularly Democrats, bribing the public? What are programs like Medicare, or Medicaid, or SNAP but ways to bribe the People?

Apparently the media has forgotten The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, Obama's "stimulus" which among other things Provided "relief" aka money to the poor and underprivileged, as well as money for things like healthcare and other goodies. How is this different from what Trump is doing? Yes, Obama had to get Congressional approval for the spending bill, but by law Mr. Trump does not have to do so; he's using surplus funds.

So what is Trump doing? He's refunding money taken from the People in the first place. Is it politically motivated? Sure. But Trump has gotten the budget deficit down and now he's giving the People back the money that should never have been taken from them in the first place.

It ain't bribery if it's money that rightfully belongs to someone else that you "borrowed".

Pajamas media has a list of media outlet heads exploding, and well they should; this could swing the midterms and they know it.

So suck on THAT liberals! Your usual tricks aren't working now. Normally you would attack, attack, attack and you are used to Republicans not offering anything of substance. Now they are offering enough money to buy a cheap used car (maybe) or at least catch up on a lot of overdue bills.

Trump is showing he's the best friend the working man has. Too bad the labor unions refuse to see it that way.

Mr. Talarico Tally Me Banana!

Timothy Birdnow

Talarico is in trouble, even if the media won't admit it.

Yes, the crazy Social Democrat "minister" who thinks God is non-binary and wants open borderrs and can't define a woman isn't doing so well now that the public is starting to see who he truly is.

Taliman tally me banana Jimmy! In a recent interview on Fox he threw everything he's been saying and doing under a migrant bus, and that is proof he has internal polling showing he's in heap big doo-doo.

For instance, he long held that dudes in dresses should be allowed to play in women's sports. But he qualified this with weasel words about if it is safe and fair, which has never been part of his position. OH, and it's NEVER safe and fair Jimmy, old bean.

He said he wanted the borders wide open but then added a qualifier "with a strong lock". How do you have a strong lock and open borders? You can't obviously. That's like putting a masterlock padlock on your gate but leaving the gate wide open. It's only something you would say if you were lying to the public to trick them.

This guy knows the voters are getting wise to him, how radical he really is and how they would be fools to elect so radical a man in deep red Texas. There is no other reason why Talarico would start tossing his own beliefs under the bus.

Now, if Ken Paxton can just get enough money to get the word out he'll win. Sadly the GOP is still refusing to give him any money. Trump is, but the GOP refuses to help a guy who took out their buddy Conyn, the RINO.

Clancey Lowers the Boom

Timothy Birdnow

Patrick Clancey, loving father of three murdered children who is in mourning, has to put up with this sort of crap.

Billy Bush, who was caught up in the "grab her by the P" scandal from when Trump was just a private citizen, had this to say on his podcast:

"…this weasel of a man, if he didn’t do it, he definitely did something. His dereliction of duty as a husband is over the top. His emotional abuse while his wife suffered is despicable. Whether he physically did it or not, he is very much involved… Set her free. Set her free. She has suffered enough.

So Clancey is "a weasel of a man" for being the victim here, is he? He sought treatment for his wife. He apparently was around a lot, which is why she had to manufacture a reason for him to leave so she could commit the murders. But it's Mr. Clancey who is the bad guy here?

And, as the article points out, Clancey has zero to do with what happens to his wife; he never said to throw her in a dungeon and toss away the key, did he?

I dare say Mr. Bush was looking in a mirror when he made his weasel crack.

At any rate Clancey is going to sue him and others who malign the poor grieving father and rightly so. This is something that should never happen in a civilized society. We are reverting to barbarism.

Oh, and I would like to add one thing; the Left has subtly altered what Mr. Trump said to Bush in his "locker-room talk". Trump did not say he went around grabbing women by their vaginas. He said when you are rich and powerful they will LET YOU grab them by their vaginas. That is a very different thing; he was discussing the amazing influence that wealth and power have over the ambitious women who use their sex appeal to make a good life for themselves, not saying he actually did it. HUGE difference.

Here is the actual quote:

"when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the pussy”

Trump did admit to kissing women without permission, but nothing more. Yes, that isn't something a decent person should do (and one wonders if he wasn't just bragging to a guy he thought wanted to do some all-male dirty talk) but in the end this is quite different from what the media told us he said.

And it happened back in 2005. People mature and change. Trump had been divorced from 1999 to 2005 when he married Melania, so it was not about cheating on his wife, in all probability (He married Melania in January of that year, but he was probably discussing an earlier attempted tryst.)

Anyway I hope Mr. Clancey wins a huge judgment against Bush. We have got to stope this sort of thing. The poor man lost his wife, his children, and has asses like Bush badmouthing him with no evidence. That's how liberals roll, but it's not something that we should allow.

The Truth is Out There

Timothy Birdnow

Here is a good article at American Thinker about how the modern relativism in society, the idea of "my truth" and the fluidity of reality is making it impossible for anyone to get a truly fair trial.

FTA:

A summons arrived for jury duty in a county circuit court within a state among the first thirteen. The envelope contained a form to return. After the boxes for "Full Name” came three boxes to indicate Gender: Male or Female or Other.

What is truth? Welcome to the ascendancy of post-modernist philosophy and its thorough skepticism toward any possibility of objective truth. The philosophical revolutions that have led us to gender stipulated as only emotionally determined and having no constancy is being foisted on ordinary people by strenuous, dictatorial proselytizers who see objective truth as fluidly inconstant and only a reflection of each moment’s changing culture, evolving language, and power structures. They viciously cancel and harass any who dare dispute them despite their argument resting on the assumption of no truth.

You can have your truth now only if it comports with their truth.

Amen, amen I say unto you! How can anyone sit in judgment over any other person when Truth is relative to the person alone? You cannot say someone violated the law if the accused doesn't recognize the law and we have no right to "speak another's truth".

What I am about to say will be scandalous to the modernists; Truth is absolute, and immutable. What is lacking is merely our understanding of it. The relativism is in our knowledge or lack thereof which makes getting to the heart of the matter difficult. The truth is there, we just can't always see it because we are flawed and limited and because the guilty party (or sometimes the accuser) will lie and will hide the truth. But there isn't a personal truth that differs from what others find - that is a lie straight from Hell.

This is rather like saying the sun moved around the earth before Galileo and Copernicus because everyone believed it did. It didn't; it always was the reverse. Nothing changed with Copernicus or Galileo or even Kepler, there was no "new truth" only new scientific understanding of the truth that was always there.

What really hurt us, and has been internalized into our culture, is the misunderstanding of philosophers over the meaning of quantum indeterminacy. I would argue the same holds true for even many physicists, including Niels Bohr.

It was discovered thatsubatomic particles could only be measured for position OR energy state, not both. This is the Heisenberg Indeterminacy Principle, so named because Heisenberg found that you could know the energy state o a subatomic particle or it's position in space but not both. The reason was a measurement problem; measure one aspect and you change the other.

When it was discovered that particles are in different places at once and only appear as particles when the wavefront collapses that led Bohr and others to postulate the "Copenhagen Interpretation" of quantum physics. There was the split-screen experiment when a single electron was fired at two slits with a detector behind each. I was found that the electron went through BOTH slits simultaneously.. At a conference in Copenhagen Bohr and some others postulated the idea that reality is actually a chain of events that happen simultaneously, which gives rise ultimately to two separate realities (and hence a new universe pops out of it, like another slice of cake at a birthday party). Thus the universe is endlessly dividing where both events occurred. Bohr did not postulate this just at the atomic level, but insisted it happened at the macro level as well aka where we are at.

And with the roll of the observer being so important to the collapse of the wavefront (why would looking at something have so dynamic an impact?) it meant reality was malleable and subject to change based on one's personal point of view.

This annoyed Edwin Schroedinger, who created his famous "cat in the box" thought experiment. Schroedinger wasn't trying to "explain" quantum indeterminacy so much as criticize it - he said if a cat was left in a box with a pill of poison that would break at a random time then the cat was both alive and dead until you opened the box - a complete absurdity. Schroedinger was in line with Einstein who famously stated "God does not play dice with the universe" over this. At any rate when asked to rebut Schroedinger, Bohr didn't dispute it but rather said "YEP!"

The Copenhagen Interpretation has dominated quantum physics ever since.

And, interestingly, at the same time the new neuroscience has biologists scrambling to find all the parts of the brain that control though and behavior. They have discovered quie a bit, and have been able to crudely reproduce some feelings with electrical stimulation of the brain. They also discovered something rather disturbing. Before you do something, say, take a drink of coffee, you have a rising brain wave called an action potential. Experiments have shown that rises BEFORE you are aware of any desire.

(What often remains forgotten is that there is a second brain wave that rises - a veto potential, as it were, that allows you to stop what you are about to do.)

At any rate neuroscientists are firmly convinced that free will is an illusion and that we are all slaves to our brains, which many of them argue are hard-wired and immutable.

Horsepoop sez I; we rewire our brains all the time, and sometimes consciously. Any great athlete knows that. There is a reason why you practice, and it's not just to strengthen your muscles but to acquire the skills which end up wired into your brain. You MAKE yourself a great athlete where before you were just good (or o.k.). And there was the work of Jeffrey Schwartz, a neurobiologist who worked with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder patients. He used Mindful Meditation from Yoga to help them rewire their brains to create a new neural pathway that bypassed the damaged one causing them their problems. It was hard but it worked. So, by an act of will you can remake your brain.

At any rate it's an odd dichotomy - that free will changes reality and yet there is no free will, only hard-wired gray matter entirely made so by environmental influences and thus we cannot understand another's "truth".

Two fundamental errors in thought and the philosophers have translated this into a new worldview that eschews reality altogether. In other words, we are our own gods.

Sounds a lot like an alien being from an old book I know who decided he wanted to be his own god and rebelled, and when he lost he came to Earth and tempted the only two people here with the same fundamental error.

So, to get bac to Law, American jurisprudence is based on the concept of Natural Law, that there is something in the Universe that is immutable and that compels us to a certain pattern of behavior. That law may not be written down but it is inherent in the fabric of reality and we have studied it, tried to understand it, and written it down to the best of our ability. Natural Law was the basis of the Ten Commandments and the other laws of the Bible (many of which are not wholly antiquated and we don't practice them for obvious reasons; we don't put a guy to death for mixing fabrics in a coat he sells you, for instance. But that law was important when textiles were very hard to make and precious and a lot of money was involved. Oh, and we could imprison someone for violating a consumer protection law, unlike in those days where the death penalty was the only real tool to be used.)

This relativism infects every part of society and the most dangerous aspect is in the Law,which is now becoming merely a suggestion box for jurists. People believe they can't know another person's "truth" and how can you condemn them for anything if you cannot say there is an actual right and wrong?

Nietzche forsaw all this and warned science would eventually fail because it would begin digging at it's own foundational beliefs, that the Universe is essentially knowable, that reason explains what we see, that truth is an absolute. He was right, and his rejection of those things led him into utter madness (that and neuro-syphilis).

At any rate someone needs to stand up for the concrete nature of truth, at least on the macro level. It may be that quantum reality is different (or more likely we just don't understand it) but the unverse works on averages and the average over the vast scale that is the human being those averages make for an immutable reality. I am mindful of the Tornado ina Junk Yard often used in the Evolution argument; Fred Hoyle argued that you won't get a nice new car if a tornado hit a junk yard. The parts are all there but it won't be assembled (and Hoyle was an atheist). The same holds true for Natural Law as opposed to this relativistic crap. We can confidently say there is a right and wrong even if there is some malleability at the quantum level. It's like a single bacterium that is unable to reporoduce; in large numbers it will kill you but one that cannot reproduce by mitosis will pass out of you harmlessly or get killed by an antibody.

So yes, there is a concrete reality we can deal with. And yes, we have a right and a duty to impose "our truth" on people who do bad things. The truth is out there.

More Detail on Bartiroma Sacking

Timothy Birdnow

Trump adviser Peter Navarro explains why Maria Bartiroma was firedby Fox News and their CEO Suzanne Scott.

It was because Bartiroma was going to do a big segment on Trump's vote fraud speech.

I've mentioned this before but this article shares more details. Bartiroma was going to come clean on the fraud, lay out the case, and Fox wants nothing to do with that. The ostensible argument is they were sued by Dominion and gave up a huge settlement (something that probably wouldn't have happened had they fought it - news outlets can call you a a public masturbating, cross dressing pedophile and you normally don't win in court, and if you do you will never collect) but I don't believe that.

I've long argued BOTH PARTIES want the fraud if it is necessary to keep these elections razor thin. The GOP wants it because it makes the RINO wing irreplaceable, and indeed we saw this with John Cornyn in Texas, whom the Republicans insisted we had to keep just so we could retain control of the Senate. Now they haven't given a penny to his replacement, Ken Paxton, because they are mad and want Paxton to lose - even at the cost of the Senate - so they can tell us they know best and we have to accept their superior political judgment. It's always a matter of telling us to shut up until election day and then we have to turn out and support their candidates, the ones we hate.

Fox is a RINO operation, especially with this Suzanne Scott chick (women CEO are the worst for turning organizations hard left) at the helm. I suspect she's going to slowly but surely flip the network, make it more to the liking of the younger Murdoch who wants to be one of the "beautiful people" and be a part of the intelligentsia.

I usually flip on the news in the morning and tune to Fox but quickly tire of it - it's full of fluff pieces these days and also rotten with commercials (and I have to pay to watch commercials!) I usually change to Newsmax (which is better but also commercial ridden and has a fair amount of fluff) or OAN, which is hard news but annoys me with all the English accents and emphasis on the stock market and whatnot. We need an Aviary for cable television.

At any rate Bartiroma was a fine journalist and I often watched her, even she was on Fox Business and not Fox itself (I find business news dull). She deserved better.

I get why they fired Tucker Carlson now; he is a real piece of work. But they fired O'Reilly, Glenn Beck, Meghan Kelly (who no doubt should have been sacked too) and others and usually for going too far to the Right. Fox does not want to be truly "fair and balanced" but rather wants to offer just enough red meat to the Conservatives to keep them coming back but not go into the citadel of Leftism.

As I've said before, Fox was intended to be a safety valve for the public to let off steam; the rest of the media pushed and pushed and Fox was to provide a place where the public, angry and annoyed at left wing media bias, could go and feel our voices were being heard. At the same time it provided a boogeyman, a specter of evil for the Left. It's sole purpose in that regard was to be to be Emmanuel Goldstein from Orwell's 1984, an existential enemy that the Left could use to rally themselves around. As Saul Alinsky said, radicals need to "pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it." It's very hard to fight a belief or an idea, but it's much easier to fight a man or an organization. Fox was intended to provide an institution to fight, and when Conservatives present information at odds with what these people gleaned from the mainstream media they can sneer and call us mind-numbed robots for listening to Fox or Rush Limbaugh, or now Donald Trump.

And while we are fighting over things like Fox News the real enemies are the "moderates" in both parties who quietly moved the country ever leftward. We are at a point where what we consider a moderate today would have been called a socialist just twenty years ago.

It's how it has worked and this practice has gone on a long time. Cable broke the monopoly of the big networks on news sources and the old print media - driven by the New York Times and the Associated Press, and so this new model was created using Fox as the counterweight.

The internet presented a much harder nut to crack because you could get news unfiltered, and a number of other Conservative news networks were born to compete with Fox. But the Left has found a way to control the internet with it's dominaion of search engines and control of social media news feeds, and once again the right finds itself on the outside looking in to a degree. This website is a classic example; once it had a fairly high rating as blogs go, but Google changed it's algorithms and disappeared us (same happened to the Gateway Pundit). Last I checked we were somewhere around the three millionth rating; we had been in the top ten thousand of ALL blogs, including commercial news sites and whatnot. Now it feels like I'm a guy on a deserted island shouting into an empty sea.

At any rate I'm too hard-headed to quick, like most of the other old-time blogs have done. I make no money with this site, nor do I plan to in the future. I'd have to actually hire a computer consultant to put the ads on and make sure the site is protected and debugged. Oh, and I'd have to get some writers other than myself and pay them. Right now my "staff" does it on a volunteer basis so when I'm off I might get a post or two out of them but by and large they have their own lives to live and they are just working on a volunteer basis after all.

At any rate I've long wondered if this site is worth maintaining. I don't do original reporting here, by and large, just opinions on the news stories of the day. I spend a lot of time trying to hunt up unusual or different stories, but they are still coming from others. I am not a John Solomon.

Anyway Fox is a duplicitous network and we had best take them with a huge grain of salt. We need to develop our own networks. If I were thirty years younger I'd try to do that. I'd get into podcasting, among other things, but I'm not and I have some health issues and this is probably the best you'll get out of me.

Maria Bartiroma is welcome as a columnist here any time she likes! I fear she woul dhave to take a sizable pay cut though.

Stupid Smithsonian Bosswoman Finally Out

Timothy Birdnow

The Woke Bolshevik woman who ran the Smthsonian into the ground has finally resigned under pressure. She pretty much had to go kicking and screaming, but she's finally out.

Big win for America! Now we need to force more of these radicals out.

Of course she'll probably get a professorship at an Ivy League college. Being a woke radical is a way to guarantee a good living in this modern world. They take care of their own.

The Dempire Strikes Back in Missouri

Timothy Birdnow

With mail-in ballots about to go out the Missouri Supreme Court (most of whom were appointed by Republicans although they are as RINO as it comes) blocked the use of the new Congressional map which gets rid of a few Democratic districts. Justice Brett Kavanaugh refused to take the case, letting this ruling stand.

This last second act by the Mo court was intended to make the implementation of this election scheme impossible, and more, to make it largely unappealable.

This proves beyond any doubt that the Left owns the courts, and even Kavanaugh (of whom I've always been suspicious). Election schemes are entirely within the purview of state Congressional entities and that is written into the Constitution and the courts have, or should have, little say in the matter. They only started getting into this over the Voting rights acts, which tried to make it easier for black voters to exercise the franchise. But SCOTUS ruled set-aside districts for black congressmen were unconstitutional, and that meant redistricting was out of bounds for courts. But they are continuing with this.

And Kavanaugh let them.

I can't imagine his reasoning, but he is a textualist and not an originalist, meaning he looks at the letter of the law and not it's intent.

I warned about this frat boy. He basically has an unserious mind and grew up in the citadels of Washington power.

At any rate we had a guaranteed pickup that we now will lose and we can thank the Republican-appointed members of the state Supreme Court as well as the guy we had to fight for tooth and nail who shows his gratitude by screwing us here. Disgraceful on every front.

The petition to the court was brought by a group that wishes to put the redistricting on the ballot for referendum. Naturally that wouldn't happen until the next election - which is the whole point. One more election and if they win this will all go away. And the Court sided with them.

The default obviously should have gone to the state congress, who hold authority on the subject, not the courts. The state court should have let the map stand but allowed the petition to go forward in the election. You don't just flip the whole electoral scheme when voting is just about to begin.

This is just another disgraceful power grab but liberals, and the Missouri Republicans are RINO and many hate Trump.

There is no law requiring a referendum and vote by the People to change electoral maps. It is one of the powers the states possess almost absolutely and unless the state constitution specifically enumerates this it's not for the courts to decide.

"Never before in American history has a court overturned a congressional map after a primary and before a general election,” Hanaway said in a statement.

Hanaway is right and this lawless court is writing it's own law.

At least three of the seven justices were appointed by Democrat governors, even though we haven't had a Democrat in the governorship for quite a few years now. The rest were appointed by the weenie RINO hillbillies who so often win the seat in this state.

While there is some discussion about fairness in districting, I would point you to Article III, Section 3 of the Missouri Constitution:

  (i) No redistricting plan shall be subject to the referendum.

And yet the court is ordering a referendum, when it is crystal clear that it is not allowable by the state constitution.

This is monumental lawlessness by the state court and it is despicable that Kavanaugh wouldn't take this case.

Fortunately a U.S. District Judge ruled inn favor of two congressional candidates that tossing the new congressional map now would cause them harm as they are running in the newly created districts. So this thing may well wind up at SCOTUS after all.

This thing is up for grabs. Both Hanaway, Mo. Attorney General, and Governor Mie Kehoe have said they plan to use the new map and the court can go, well, please themselves.

The Democrats are trying to sow chaos in the upcoming elections then claim they were cheated, and gin up their base into a fever frenzy. And it's probably going to work, too. They've cheated all these years and gotten away with it and now they can't so they are going to not go quietly. They ae like children, and they are going to throw a tantrum.

The Snows of British Columbia

Timothy Birdnow

Heavy snows in British Columbia mean great skiing in early Auguest and September.

Meanwhile ice is growing at both poles, especially in Antarctica. But Greenland gained some ice too despite claims the glaciers are melting away.

Global Warming sure has a funny way of expressing itself.

At any rate we are seeing a change to a cooling and the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation appears ready to flip from the current warming to a cooling phase. The AMO's cooling phase ended around 1990, after starting in the mid sixties.

That will mean more hurricanes and higher winds in general; the warming phase leads to less wind (and that explains why hurricane frequency and intensity have largely dropped off over the last few decades) but the cold phase means more wind, which means we will see a surge in Hurricanes, which means the climate alarmists will blame it on global warming. You can't win with those people.

At any rate it's good skiing up in B.C., a place that does not deserve it. I want to see skiing in Conservative places, not in leftist Canada. Jackson Hole would be nice.

Missouri has one or two sky resorts but it's generally too warm here and the snow has to be manufactured - and it winds up being ice very quickly. But if it cools a bit we could become prime ski territory. The Ozarks offer some great small mountains that would make fine sky resorts; it only takes some cooling and more snow. Granted that would probably hurt our wine industry, so maybe it's not a good idea after all.

The Frozen North Freezes More

Timothy Birdnow

I'ts cold and icy up yonder ways!

For the first time on record it did not get above freezing in the Arctic. Greenland had near record gains in ice. The pole is looking like we expect it to, not like a resort in the Bahamas.

The Warmiacs are going to have a hard time spinning this, but no doubt they will. I'm sure they'll say "it's cold because it's hot" as they always do.

Talarico's Church of the False Prophet

Timothy Birdnow

Christ is ashamed of these people.

Jesus told Peter "he who lives by the sword shall surely perish by it".

FTA:

The female pastor at James Talarico’s church is in a video currently being shared on social media in which she claims that there are members of the church who wish that the Trump shooter in Butler, Pennsylvania in the summer of 2024 ‘had been more successful.’

James Talarico is the far left Democrat running for U.S. Senate in Texas. He often cites his Christian faith as a justification for far left policies.

In the video, the pastor also claims that most the members of the congregation are agnostic or atheist.

This is like Reverend Jeremiah Wright all over again. Isn’t it fascinating how Democrats frequently find themselves belonging to a church like this?

In other words this is not a church at all but a political action operation masquerading as a church to get tax breaks. The IRS needs to look into this "church".

I would like to remind everyone that the old Soviet Union did not close all the churches - just the ones that actually preached the Gospel. They kept a bunch of Orthodox churches open but only if they preached a social gospel favoring Marxism. There were plenty happy to do it to survive, too.

In fact the Soviet Union officially had freedom of worship written into the Constitution of 1936 of the U.S.S.R. had this to say:

:"Citizens of the USSR are guaranteed freedom of conscience, that is, the right to profess or not to profess any religion, and to conduct religious worship or atheistic propaganda.”"

Which of course meant atheists could, on government behest, blockade churches that did not function as the government wished. The government was granted all power over all institutions, I might add, under this constitution. Churches were intended to serve a purpose; they flushed out possible dissidents, gave the truly devout a safety valve, and helped the state disseminate propaganda. Oh, and it was illegal to run a church school of any kind so the churches could not grow. They had to operate between their four walls.

Anyway this harkens back to the Soviet days, where a church is not there to promote the King of Kings but to promote socialism and give all glory to a government that will usher in the Kingdom Age of Communism.

Talarico's "church" is such an entity. It is a false prophet.

The Antichrist, and the False Prophet. Antichrist, or the Beast, will be a political leader, a very, very powerful political leader. But much of his power will be given to him by the False Prophet, who will be a religious leader of some sort who will endorse the Antichrist and give him his spiritual authority. With churches like this we can see how that could happen.

The Catholic Church has long believed the False Prophet would be a Pope. Ahem...

Anyway Nick Shirley needs to look into this "church", find out where it's money comes from, who is backing it, etc. This has all the earmarks of a Communist black op, either by the Soros gang or maybe even the Russians or Chicoms.

Inquiring minds want to know.
